Subject: Choice of Engineering College?

Question: Dear Sir/Madam,
I have cleared the west bengal joint entrance for engineering this year
through which I can take admission in RECs with my rank. However I am thinking
of dropping a year and attempting IITJEE once more which I could not clear
this year due to inadequate preparation. Would it be better to join a
REC or try IITJEE once more after preparing well for one year? Thank
you.
Answer: Take REC now. One is not sure of the future. While one
may hope for the best one does not really know what may click. I would have
been in a better position if you had sent me your marks in Maths from class
4 onwards, Physics and chemistry in Board exams, your rank in class from
class 8 and many other factors.
Remember, bird in hand ...
If you do well in college, in job after entering the organization actual
performance only matters
